It is my impression that diet, exercise, and other controllable factors may contribute greatly to health and well being. Included in this section are my personal opinions, observations, and best guesses developed over decades of reading about health issues and wondering how I can maintain and improve my own health. I have no medical training. The information here has not been vetted by anyone with medical training.

The information in this section is from my own understanding of human health and, as such, its validity is not assured. It seems to me that some of modern medicine's current accepted practices are also not assured. And there are many issues on which modern medicine is silient. Sometimes a person's only option is to go with their best guess. As Yogi Berra once said, "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

Perhaps it is also prudent to keep in mind one of Mark Twains's quips, "It's not what you don't know that causes the most problems, it's what you know that isn't so."

So, stay informed as much as practical... and take best advantage of the powers of modern medicine.
