Chestnut and grain biscuit: 20090118
1/8 cup chestnut flour
1/8 cup proso millet flour  
 or 1/8 cup whole wheat flour
 or 1/8 cup whole corn flour (this trial)
2 teaspoons 30 percent added oil non roasted
  sunflower seed butter
  or 2 teaspoons raw tahini
1 pinch salt
3 tablespoons water
Mix 1/8 cup corn flour, 1/8 cup chestnut flour, 2 teaspoons sunflower seed butter, 1 pinch salt, and 3 tablespoons water in a small microwaveable dish that can be covered.

Shape the batter into a ring with a 2 inch diameter hole at the center.

Heat in a covered dish using a microwave oven for 2 minutes 15 seconds, then 3 minutes on low (15 percent power).

Math:
3 minutes on low is about 30 seconds heat time.
Add 5 seconds for oven to begin heating.
Add 25 seconds to heat container.
To heat to boiling: 2.8 ounces X 20 seconds per ounce = 56 seconds
Plus to remove excess water: 46 seconds per ounce X 1.5 ounces water = 69 seconds
Plus to replace heat lost to air: 69/60 minutes at boiling X 10 seconds per minute = 12 seconds.

Set the hot container in cold water to cool for a few minutes.

Chewy/chrunchy, about like a combination bagel/cracker, moderately intense chestnut flavor, mild sweetness and pleasant starchiness.
