Eating enjoyment is a moving target,
pursue your taste - pursue the yum.

If a recipe calls for an ingredient not available where you normally shop, you can try this list of sources for uncommon foods and kitchen tools.

Green chewy oats and beans:
1/8 cup soybean
1 teaspoon
spinach powder
1 eighth cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon canola oil
1 quarter cup
Into a mug put 1/8 cup soybean and 1 quarter cup water.

Heat until boiling 1 minute 5 seconds in a 1000 watt microwave oven.
Add 5 seconds for oven to begin heating.
Plus 10 seconds to heat mug.
To bring to boiling: 20 seconds per ounce times 2.9 ounces = 49 seconds.
Drain the water by dumping into a strainer.

Put the soybeans into hot air popcorn popper that has bean running for 10 seconds or more, set a timer so the beans have close to 50 seconds roast time and dump the beans into a bowl.

Into a portion bowl put:
the soybeans, 1 teaspoon spinach powder, 1 eighth cup rolled oats, and 1 teaspoon canola oil.

I like this when I'm feeling philosophical and appreciate a food that is health promoting, cheap, easy, quick, chewy, and tasty (at least when I'm hungry for food and hungry for some satisfaction).

Perhaps serve with cashews, pumpkin seeds, or roasted chestnuts and with 2 ounces fruit and/or raw vegetable, the vitamin C from the fruit and vegetable will aid in the absorption of calcium and iron from the spinach.

Robust spinach flavor, very chewy, nice starchy flavor, tastes like it has added salt.

seek out the unusual, look over the wall If the experts are right.... eat lots of spinach and other such super healthy food. Your body will tend to do what you want it to do more often and for a longer period of time. Stick with a diet of burgers, fries, and soda and your body and pleasure centers are likely to run down sooner... if the experts are right.
