The Diane Rehm Show
Can We Adapt To Climate Change
Climate change and depletion of resources will increase prices. High prices will cause economic depression. That will limit consumption, end cheap food, and raise energy prices. For many people life will become much more difficult.
Climate catastrophes such as flood, droughts, hurricanes, and tornadoes will occur more often. Changing over to low carbon sources of energy and conservation practices can lessen the suffering that is coming. Likely, only minor changes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will be implemented initially. It will take a crisis to motivate people to make the drastic changes required to sufficiently reduce emissions.
